Home- School Communication: Our See Saw App
We use our Seesaw to communication tool between home and school. Your child’s Class Teacher will send messages to you on the See Saw App to let you know how your child is progressing at school. The Teacher will also attach photos/videos of your child’s work.
Please contact your child’s Class Teacher via See Saw with any messages, information or photos of your home learning.
Please note Class Teachers are able to respond to parent/carer messages 8.30am – 9.00am and 3.00- 4.00pm on school days.
If your child is ill, not Covid related, we will liaise with you as to whether you feel your child can access home learning. It maybe you feel your child is too unwell for home learning and the focus needs to be on rest and recovery. Alternative your child may be feeling better after a heavy cold or stomach upset and you may feel they are able to begin to start learning again prior to returning to school.
Partial closure of school due to a COVID-19 outbreak
If Golden Hill is forced to close a class bubble or whole school pod due to a COVID-19 outbreak, we will provide home learning for all children from Day 1.
Accessing Home Learning
Golden Hill will use Seesaw to provide online learning. Teachers will upload information regarding English, Maths and Foundation subjects daily. All work will be linked into our School Curriculum Overview. Teachers will also add links to our School Learning Support Materials (see below)
If you are not able to access Seesaw or your child does not have an electronic device, such as a laptop or tablet, please contact your child’s class teacher as soon as possible.
Curriculum and School Learning Support Materials
We have purchased the following resources for children to access both in school and at home. In the event of a school closure or a child having to isolate we would ask parents / carers to continue to access these programmes online. Links to these resources are also on our School website.
All children have individual log-in details- these are attached to this letter, or sent via Seesaw.
All pupils have access to:
- Purple Mash and Education City Programmes: Teachers will specify the on-line work to be completed by your child.
- TT Rockstars: Children will work through these programmes at their own level.
