Golden Hill’s 6 core values are:
Respect, Happiness, Trust, Friendship, Honesty, Co-operation
At Golden Hill, we implement a Vaues Curriculum which teaches 6 key Values; Respect, Happiness, Co-operation, Friendship, Trust and Responsibility. Activities are tailored to suit the ages and interests of the children across our school with each class doing a different activity linked to a weekly theme. Children can earn bonuses for nominating each other and for being nominated if they demonstrate through their behaviour that they have understood the Value. The activities combine a range of things from crafts, group projects, digital media work, cooking, life skills and off site visits. For example, Hawks Class organised to go litter-picking at the local park and Eagles demonstrated they could be trusted with money to go and buy ice creams at the shop. Our whole school also showed they could be trusted to look after the animals when the Little Barn Mobile Farm visited us in Summer 2025.
Each half-term, one class leads a Values Assembly to share what we have learnt and celebrate the Value as a whole school.
